The University of Notre Dame men’s tennis team lost to the University of Virginia, 4-1, in a match played on Apr. 3 between two nationally ranked programs.
This match featured the #17-ranked Irish facing off against the #4-ranked Cavaliers. The outcome affects both teams’ standings as they approach the end of regular season play.
In doubles action, Virginia secured wins at No. 2 and No. 3 positions to claim the doubles point. Rice and Brockett from Virginia defeated Llorens Saracho and Nad of Notre Dame, while Santamarta and Kim won over Lee and Patrick.
