Yesterday, Congressman Rudy Yakym honored veteran journalist Mark Peterson for his 40 years of service as a WNDU anchor in northern Indiana. Peterson was presented with a copy of the Congressional Record as he enters retirement.

“For 40 years, Mark Peterson has been a trusted voice in northern Indiana reporting with clarity, integrity, and calm under pressure,” Rep. Yakym stated. “As someone who grew up watching him and later worked alongside him, I’m deeply grateful for his service. It was an honor to present him with this Congressional Record in recognition of his remarkable career. I wish Mark and his wife, Sue, all the best in this next chapter.”

Rep. Yakym also spoke on the House Floor last week to honor Peterson’s contributions to journalism. A video of these remarks is available online.
