Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana’s 2nd District, has shared several updates through his Twitter account regarding recent community engagements and acknowledgments. Yakym, serving since 2022, was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. He holds degrees from Indiana University South Bend.

On April 4, Congressman Yakym posted about his visit to Bourbon, Indiana, to survey storm damage: “Today, I met with local officials in Bourbon and saw the devastating damage from the recent storms. My team and I are committed to supporting the community as they rebuild. Sallyann and I continue to keep everyone impacted in our thoughts and prayers.”

Acknowledging Gold Star Spouses, Yakym tweeted on April 5: “Today, we honor the strength, resilience, and sacrifice of Gold Star Spouses. Your loved ones’ legacy lives on, and our nation is forever indebted to you .”

Additionally, on April 6, Yakym announced an opportunity for La Porte County residents to meet with his team: “La Porte County residents can meet with my team tomorrow from 9:00am – 10:00am at the Parks and Recreation Department.”
