Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently posted several messages on his social media account, addressing national politics and responding to a tragic event in New York City.

On July 28, 2025, Yakym wrote, “Another day, another @POTUS win https://t.co/bOzHXWxdHH”. Later that same day, he followed up with another post stating, “This is America First https://t.co/McK5lmToII”.

On July 29, 2025, Yakym commented on events in New York City: “Sallyann and I are keeping the police officers, first responders, and everyone affected by the tragic events in New York City in our prayers.”

Yakym was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger. He earned both an associate’s degree (2009) and a bachelor’s degree (2011) from Indiana University South Bend.
