On February 13, 2025, Congressman Rudy Yakym announced via Twitter that he had voted in favor of the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act. “I just walked off the House floor after voting yes on the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act,” he stated. He emphasized that this legislation aims to impose significant jail time on human smugglers who evade law enforcement during high-speed chases.

Later that day, Yakym congratulated Robert Kennedy Jr. on his new role as Secretary of Health and Human Services with a tweet: “Congrats @RobertKennedyJr on your confirmation as Secretary of Health and Human Services! Let’s Make America Healthy Again!”

In another tweet posted shortly thereafter, Yakym addressed efforts by the Ways and Means Committee to combat fraud within the tax system. He noted: “Yesterday, @WaysandMeansGOP took pivotal steps to advance legislation to fight fraud and improve our tax system.” He stressed the importance of ensuring that fraudsters are caught and maintaining an efficient tax system.
