Rudy Yakym, a U.S. Congressman representing Indiana’s 2nd District since 2022, has been actively sharing his views and updates on recent events through social media. Born in 1984, Yakym resides in Granger and is an alumnus of Indiana University South Bend, where he completed his AS in 2009 and BS in 2011.

On May 22, 2025, Yakym expressed condolences following a tragic incident involving the Israeli Embassy staff. He tweeted that “Two Israeli Embassy staff were shot and killed tonight near the Jewish Museum in DC tonight. We stand with Israel and pray for the victims’ families.”

Later that day, Yakym celebrated legislative progress by announcing “ONE BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL ACT” at 11:22 AM UTC.

In another tweet posted at 4:42 PM UTC, Yakym criticized Democrats for spreading misinformation about a bill. He stated that “The Democrats lying about this bill are the same people who said the former President was doing cartwheels in the Oval Office. While they keep lying, @HouseGOP keeps delivering.”
