Yakym, who was born in 1984 and resides in Granger, has been active in Congress advocating for various legislative measures.
On May 17, 2025, Congressman Yakym expressed his support for a letter demanding the dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program. He stated, “Proud to have signed on to this letter calling for the complete dismantlement of Iran’s nuclear program.”
Later that day, Yakym paid tribute to military personnel through another post. He remarked, “Today, we honor the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces. Thank you for your courage, dedication, and sacrifice” This acknowledgment underscores his appreciation for the service members’ contributions.
On May 19, 2025, he highlighted the benefits of the House GOP’s legislative initiative titled “One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” In his post, he noted that it provides significant economic relief by implementing permanent tax cuts and removing taxes on tips or overtime. Additionally, it offers further support for seniors and enhances child tax credits while focusing on border security. He described these measures as “generational relief for Americans.”
Rudy Yakym is an alumnus of Indiana University South Bend where he earned an AS degree in 2009 followed by a BS degree in 2011.
