On June 4, 2025, Congressman Yakym expressed his enthusiasm about meeting with the RV Industry to discuss mutual goals. He emphasized the importance of maintaining Indiana’s Second District as “the RV Capital of the World.” “Always great to meet with @RV_Industry and discuss our shared priorities to ensure Indiana’s Second District remains the RV Capital of the World!”
The following day, June 5, 2025, Yakym recounted his visit to Nir Oz in Israel with Sallyann. He described the events at the Kibbutz as “absolutely barbaric” and expressed solidarity with affected families while committing to efforts for hostage returns. “Sallyann and I visited Nir Oz while in Israel. What was done in that Kibbutz was absolutely barbaric. We continue to hold their families in our prayers, and I remain steadfast in my commitment to seeing every hostage returned home.”
Later that day, he proposed a friendly wager on the NBA Finals with fellow congressman Kevin Hern.
