On February 13, 2025, Congressman Yakym emphasized the significance of agriculture in his district. He stated, “Indiana’s Second District is the proud home of countless farms. I look forward to working with Secretary Rollins to ensure that our farmers are taken care of and the agricultural industry continues to thrive!” This statement underscores his commitment to supporting local farmers and advancing the agricultural sector.

The following day, February 14, 2025, Yakym visited the Elkhart Police Department to express gratitude towards two officers for their bravery during an incident on January 27th. He remarked, “It was an honor to stop by the Elkhart Police Department and thank Patrolman Ethan Pasternak and Corporal Paul Vandenburg for their heroic actions at Martin’s on January 27th. Police officers run into harm’s way every single day and we are forever indebted to them.” This visit reflects his recognition of law enforcement’s dedication.

Later that same day, Yakym shared a personal message celebrating Valentine’s Day with his spouse. He expressed affection by saying, “Happy Valentine’s Day to the love of my life, Sallyann!”
