Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, highlighted local businesses and agricultural operations in a series of posts on August 26, 2025.

In his first post at 16:21 UTC, Yakym praised a local business, stating, “MPS eggs in North Manchester is a proud, family-owned business that has given back in enormous ways to their community. I am so grateful for the Krouse family’s continued commitment to Wabash County.”

Later that day at 17:32 UTC, he addressed tax concerns facing small businesses in his district. Yakym wrote, “Did you know that 45,460 small businesses in IN-02 would be hit with a 43.4% tax rate if the 199A Small Business Deduction expired? For small businesses in Peru, the extension of the 199A deduction in the One Big Beautiful Bill helps ensure they can invest in their businesses and”

Yakym was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger. He graduated from Indiana University South Bend with both an associate’s degree (2009) and a bachelor’s degree (2011).
