Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana’s 2nd District since 2022, has been active on social media, sharing updates and opportunities with his constituents. Born in 1984 and a resident of Granger, Yakym holds degrees from Indiana University South Bend. His recent tweets highlight both his commitment to public service and engagement with the community.

On March 23, 2025, Congressman Yakym informed his followers about upcoming assistance for federal agency issues: “Do you have an issue with the IRS, VA, Social Security, or another federal agency? My team will be available in Knox and Winamac tomorrow to assist!” This indicates his team’s readiness to address concerns related to the IRS, VA, Social Security Administration, among others.

Later that day, he shared a lighter moment on social media by expressing support for a sports team: “Still dancing! #GoIrish”. The post reflects personal interests outside of political responsibilities.

On March 24, 2025, Congressman Yakym announced an opportunity for young artists: “Exciting news! The 2025 Congressional Art Competition will be open to all high school students in the Second District!” The tweet encourages students to participate between April 2-10 for a chance to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol. All entries will also be showcased at South Bend Airport.
