Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana’s 2nd District since 2022, shared several statements on social media reflecting his engagements and perspectives. Born in 1984, Yakym resides in Granger and is an alumnus of Indiana University South Bend.

On June 16, 2025, Congressman Yakym highlighted a special recognition given to Mark Peterson by presenting him with a Congressional Record entry. “It was an honor to present WNDU legend Mark Peterson on set with a Congressional Record entry honoring his 40+ years of journalism! A well-deserved tribute for a career that shaped Michiana news and inspired so many.”

The following day, on June 17, he addressed international security concerns regarding Iran’s rhetoric towards Israel and the United States. “Iran has made its intentions unmistakably clear with repeated declarations of ‘Death to Israel, death to America.’ If they acquire a nuclear weapon, it would be a threat to global stability.”

Later that same day, Congressman Yakym expressed support for legislative efforts aimed at economic relief for Americans. He stated: “Whether it’s a small business trying to expand, a parent raising kids, or a worker putting in extra hours, this bill says Washington has taken enough. It’s time to give some back.” More details can be found in the Elkhart Truth.
