Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared reflections and updates on his official Twitter account.

On August 3, 2025, Yakym commemorated the anniversary of Jackie Walorski’s passing by stating, “Today marks three years since the passing of my dear friend Jackie Walorski. I’m reflecting on her life, legacy, and the impact she had on everyone who knew her. Jackie was a friend, mentor, and fierce advocate for Hoosiers and Indiana’s Second District. Her passion, integrity,” he wrote.

The following day, August 4, Yakym participated in a media event with the Republican Study Committee. He posted: “Had a great time joining @RepublicanStudy’s New Media Row to talk about the big wins for Hoosiers in the One Big Beautiful Bill”

On August 5, Yakym introduced an initiative focused on his constituents: “Welcome to the One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour!”

Yakym is a lifelong resident of Indiana’s 2nd District and currently lives in Granger. Born in 1984 and now aged 39, he earned both an associate degree (2009) and a bachelor’s degree (2011) from Indiana University South Bend.
