Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, posted a series of updates on social media highlighting his recent activities and legislative priorities.

On September 1, 2025, Yakym extended holiday greetings to his constituents, writing, “Sallyann and I wish all Hoosiers a happy Labor Day! We’re grateful for the hard work and dedication of Indiana’s workers who keep our state moving forward.”

Two days later, on September 3, he discussed his travels throughout Indiana’s Second District during August. In his post, Yakym stated, “In August, I traveled across Indiana’s Second District to discuss the impact of the One Big Beautiful Bill. This bill proves that when the government steps back and people keep more of what they earn, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.”

Later that same day, Yakym commented on recent legislative action regarding drug policy. He noted the House passage of new legislation with the message: “The House overwhelmingly passed the “Stop Chinese Fentanyl Act of 2025.” From securing our southern border to holding China accountable, @HouseGOP is taking every step to stop the flow of this deadly drug and protect American lives.”

Yakym was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. He earned both an associate degree in 2009 and a bachelor’s degree in 2011 from Indiana University South Bend.
