Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared a series of personal and professional updates on social media. The congressman, who resides in Granger and is an alumnus of Indiana University South Bend, frequently uses his platform to engage with constituents and share moments from his life.

On July 7, 2025, Congressman Yakym celebrated a family milestone by wishing his oldest child a happy birthday. He expressed affection in a tweet saying “Happy Sweet 16 to our amazing oldest, Elle! Your mom and I are so incredibly proud of you and love you more than words can say!”

Two days later, on July 9, 2025, he announced an upcoming radio appearance via Twitter. He invited followers to tune into the broadcast by posting “About to go live with Jon and Laura on 95.3 MNC. Make sure to tune in!”

Later that day, Congressman Yakym extended gratitude towards local leadership for their service during challenging times. In his tweet he stated “Thank you @GovBraun and Indiana Task Force One for your leadership and service. Our thoughts and prayers remain with Texas.” This message highlights ongoing support for efforts led by Governor Braun and the Indiana Task Force One team.

Rudy Yakym was born in 1984 and graduated from Indiana University South Bend with degrees earned in 2009 (AS) and again in 2011 (BS).
