Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared updates on his activities and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.

On August 12, 2025, Yakym highlighted his experiences meeting constituents during a statewide tour. He wrote, “My favorite part about being on the road during this One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour is meeting hundreds of constituents and hearing directly from them about how I can continue to fight for them in Washington!”

Later that day, he commented on economic development in the district. In a post dated August 12, 2025, Yakym stated, “Indiana’s Second District is reaching new heights every day. I was able to see a new residential development in Culver. The New Market Tax Credits and Opportunity Zones made permanent in the One Big Beautiful Bill allow for growth in our neighborhoods throughout IN-02.”

On August 13, 2025, Yakym marked the start of the school year for his family and others in the community by posting, “Today is the first day of school for my wife and kids. Wishing all students and educators a great school year as they return to the classroom!”

Yakym, age 39 and a resident of Granger, was born in 1984. He holds associate and bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University South Bend (source: FACTS FOR STEP 4).
