Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District since 2022, shared insights on social media regarding his recent activities and legislative priorities. Born in 1984, Yakym is a graduate of Indiana University South Bend and currently resides in Granger.

On May 14, 2025, Yakym tweeted about attending The American Boating Congress with the National Marine Manufacturers Association. He expressed pride in his district’s boating industry and reiterated his commitment to its success as co-chair of the Congressional Boating Caucus.

Later that day, he acknowledged efforts by President Joe Biden and Border Czar Tom Homan in enhancing border security. “Thanks to @POTUS and Border Czar @RealTomHoman,” Yakym wrote on May 14, “our borders are more secure and our country is safer.”

On May 15, Yakym highlighted legislation aimed at supporting manufacturers within Indiana’s Second District. In a tweet, he referred to it as the “Manufacturing Capital of America” and outlined features of the bill including rewards for new factories built domestically, increased small business expensing, renewal of the Opportunity Zone Program, and reduced reporting requirements.
