Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana’s 2nd District since 2022, shared his views on key policy issues through a series of tweets on April 16 and 17, 2025. A resident of Granger and born in 1984, Yakym graduated from Indiana University South Bend with associate and bachelor’s degrees.

In a tweet dated April 16, 2025, Yakym commended President Biden’s stance on Iran, stating, “Proud to support @POTUS’s unwavering commitment to preventing a nuclear Iran. Maximum pressure is essential to safeguard U.S. interests and reinforce the security of our ally, Israel.”

A day later, on April 17, 2025, Yakym expressed his views on fiscal policy, underscoring the importance of extending tax cuts. He tweeted, “Extending the Trump tax cuts isn’t just good policy; it’s essential for protecting the financial well-being of millions of hardworking Americans.” He included a link to his latest article on the topic.

In another engagement on April 17, Yakym noted his visit to a local organization during the Easter weekend. He stated, “As we head into Easter weekend, it was a privilege to visit the Food Bank of Northern Indiana this afternoon. This great organization serves thousands of individuals in need every month and is dedicated to ending hunger in Indiana.”
