On August 28, 2025, Yakym announced the arrival of a new manufacturing facility in Warsaw, Indiana. In his post, he stated: “Honored to officially welcome @slateauto’s new manufacturing plant to Warsaw, Indiana! This historic investment brings quality jobs, innovation, and continued economic growth to Indiana’s Second District. Let’s keep building a stronger future—right here at home.”
The following day, August 29, 2025, Yakym concluded his district tour with another update: “That’s a wrap on the One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour! I am inspired by the stories I have heard over the last four weeks and am so excited to get back to work in DC next week, fighting for the people of Indiana’s Second District!”

Yakym is currently 39 years old and resides in Granger. He graduated from Indiana University South Bend with associate and bachelor degrees earned in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
