 Saints Win Big In Final Regular Season Game

The Holy Cross women’s basketball team continued their conference play today, when they traveled to Trinity International University to take on the Trojans. The Saints defense had a great outing in today’s game, constantly creating turnovers and putting constant pressure on the Trojans. The Saints got the lead early in today’s game outscoring TIU 19-9 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Saints continued their surge on offense and continued to knock down their shots. The Saints were shooting 100% from the free throw line in the first half. The Saints would take a 43-24 lead going into halftime. Coming out of halftime, the Saints had their best offensive quarter scoring 31 points and shot 55% from the field. The Saints would take a 74-43 lead into the fourth quarter. In the fourth, the Saints continued to control the game on both sides of the court and would cause 37 TIU turnovers in the game. With the Saints’ great effort on defense, they would go on and win 95-53. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 16-12 overall and 11-9 in conference play, while the Trojans drop to 4-23 and 2-18.
