18 percent of applicants to the University of Notre Dame were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Notre Dame, 100 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Notre Dame enrolled 12,607 students in fall 2018, including 8,617 in undergraduate and 3,990 in graduate programs, data shows. 2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

7 percent of undergraduates are residents of Indiana, and 84 percent are residents of other states. 9 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 18 percent of the 20,371 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 57 percent enrolled.
