Graduates earn 401 degrees from Saint Mary's College

About 21.4 percent of the 401 degrees and certificates handed out by Saint Mary's College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Dame conferred 63 bachelor's degrees and 23 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 38 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 38 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 35 bachelor's degrees in general psychology.

The college enrolled 1,611 students for 2017-18, including 1,485 in undergraduate programs and 126 in graduate programs.
