Ray Schultz, current executive director, will be taking a different position with the 911 Center effective March 1, 2022. Ms. Tobey currently works at the 911 Center as Director of Training, and has worked there for seven years since its inception, holding several positions, along with extensive dispatch experience prior to working for the County. The County thanks Mr. Schultz for his service as Executive Director over the last 4 years, and is grateful to retain him as an important team member at the 911 Center The County's search for a replacement will include input from the seven member PSAP Operations Board and the nine-member Executive Board, with a final decision being made by the Board of Commissioners.
County Commissioner Derek Dieter, who also serves as President of the PSAP Executive Board, emphasized that it was very important to the successful operation of the 9n Center that all decision makers listen to the valuable input from dispatchers, and he has already received some excellent recommendations while discussing the upcoming changes with dispatchers.
