Welcome Samantha Jones

Holy Cross College is excited to announce the addition of Samantha Jones to the Office of Admissions team as an admissions counselor!

“With my position, I am looking forward to connecting with students in Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin, Northwest Indiana, and the East coast. I am excited to visit many different high schools and attend in-person and virtual college fairs,” said Jones. “I look forward to expanding the hearts and minds of potential Holy Cross Saints!”

From New Carlisle, Indiana, she holds a bachelor’s in fashion design from Indiana University, Bloomington. She spent the last four years working in admissions.

“College is a time of growth, learning, and discovery in the classroom, but it is also a time of joy and excitement outside of it. Being able to work in admissions means being a part of the first step for all students in their college experience. I am fortunate to be one of the first individuals to welcome students to campus as a new student and then a few years later congratulate them upon graduation. Being a part of the student journey from start to finish greatly excites me,” notes Jones on her chosen career path.

The unique community aspect of Holy Cross College brought her to the decision to join the admissions team.

“I wanted to be a part of a team and institution that empowers and supports students while remaining focused on the common good. My fiancé attended Holy Cross and is an alumnus of the college. His experience as a scholar, leader, citizen, and disciple definitely helped mold him into the man he is today. I am looking forward to joining the Holy Cross community,” said Jones.

She has lots of plans for the journey ahead.

“I would like to impact Holy Cross by sharing all of what the college has to offer inside and outside the classroom. I look forward to making connections with students and their families and providing them with an outstanding experience. I am eager to contribute to the growth of the college as a whole,” said Jones.
