On February 13, 2025, Congressman Rudy Yakym announced via Twitter that he had voted in favor of the Agent Raul Gonzalez Officer Safety Act. He emphasized that this legislation aims to impose significant jail time on human smugglers who evade law enforcement during high-speed chases.
