Junior offensive lineman Aamil Wagner from Notre Dame has been nominated for the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team. This recognition highlights his dedication to community service and leadership beyond the football field.

Wagner, originally from Ohio, is among 197 nominees vying for a spot on the team. The final selection will be announced in September and will include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach. Last year, Irish linebacker Jack Kiser was selected for the team, while Notre Dame's Head Football Coach Marcus Freeman was named as the honorary head coach.

Wagner plays a significant role in initiatives aimed at enhancing athletes' lives off the field. He is actively involved in player development programs at Notre Dame, focusing on areas such as goal-setting, relationship-building, networking, leadership, financial planning, and performance.

He also leads the Notre Dame chapter of Uplifting Athletes as president. This organization supports families affected by rare diseases through outreach events and fundraising activities. Wagner has organized events and maintained direct contact with these families.

Additionally, Wagner volunteers regularly at a local senior center, homeless shelter, and church. He has also contributed to Just a Pair of Shoes near his hometown by providing new shoes to community youth. On campus, he participates in the Student-Athlete Advisory Council and Notre Dame Christian Athletes.

In 2024, Wagner received the Notre Dame Football Scholar-Athlete Award and played all 16 games leading to a National Championship appearance for the Irish.
