Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, shared updates on his recent activities and engagements through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) this week.
On September 12, Yakym highlighted his participation in a federal housing event, writing, "Owning a home is a cornerstone of the American Dream. This week, I joined @SecretaryTurner & @SecretaryLCD at HUD’s Innovative Housing Showcase to explore affordable housing innovations and discuss ways to expand supply, cut red tape, and make homeownership more attainable."
Later that day, he reported from Kingsbury about his visit to a local business: "What a blast visiting Pyrotecnico in Kingsbury today! Incredible to see the craftsmanship and safety behind the scenes — and yes, I even got to set off a firework myself! Proud to support Hoosier jobs and innovation."
On September 13, Yakym posted an expression of support for Notre Dame sports with "#GoIrish".
Yakym was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. He earned both an Associate of Science (2009) and Bachelor of Science (2011) from Indiana University South Bend.
