Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, posted a series of messages on his official social media account highlighting support for law enforcement and announcing constituent service achievements.

On September 17, 2025, Yakym wrote, "Please join Sallyann and me in keeping these brave police officers and their families in your prayers. We are deeply grateful for the courage and sacrifice of our law enforcement officers who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe." The post expressed gratitude towards law enforcement officers and encouraged public support.

The following day, on September 18, 2025, Yakym shared an update regarding constituent services: "BIG NEWS: Our office has officially returned over $78 million to Hoosiers! Whether it’s help with the IRS, Social Security, VA benefits, or Medicare — we're here to serve YOU. Proud to deliver results for Indiana!" The statement highlighted financial assistance provided to residents of Indiana through various federal programs.

Later that same day, Yakym commented on public safety concerns by stating: "It is just basic common sense to want safe streets and crime-free communities."

Yakym was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger. He graduated from Indiana University South Bend with associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in 2009 and 2011 respectively. Since taking office in Congress in 2022, he has focused on issues related to public safety and constituent services.
