Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, posted a series of statements on his Twitter account in October 2025 addressing issues ranging from international conflict to domestic political discourse.
On October 7, 2025, Yakym commented on the anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel, writing: "Two years ago, we watched in horror as Hamas terrorists brutally attacked Israel, murdering innocent civilians, kidnapping hostages, and shattering countless lives. Israel has every right to defend itself and bring every hostage home.
We thank President Trump for his strong".
Two days later, on October 9, 2025, Yakym responded to news involving former President Donald Trump by stating: "Thank you President Trump, this is great news! https://t.co/AujPJmgOrc".
Later that same day, Yakym addressed a separate issue impacting American citizens: "Every day gets worse for hardworking Americans.
What an abhorrent and shameful thing to say. https://t.co/CKWnyEcHXc".
Yakym was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger. He earned both his associate’s and bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University South Bend in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
