Rudy Yakym highlights Indiana agriculture and comments on Middle East developments

Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account expressing gratitude for Indiana farmers and responding to recent developments in the Middle East.

On October 12, 2025, Yakym highlighted the contributions of local agriculture, stating, "Indiana’s farmers are second to none! Today and every day, we’re grateful for their hard work and dedication to feeding our families, our communities, and the world."

The following day, Yakym commented on the return of hostages in the Middle East, writing on October 13, 2025, "The hostages are home! Blessed be the peacemakers. God bless Israel. God bless the United States of America."

Later the same day, Yakym thanked the U.S. President for efforts toward peace in the region. On October 13, 2025, he posted, "Today marks a new day in the Middle East. Thank you, @POTUS for your unwavering commitment to achieving peace."

Yakym, age 39 and a resident of Granger, Indiana, has a background rooted in the state. He graduated from Indiana University South Bend in 2009 with an associate degree and again in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree.
