Yakym schedules service academy night for prospective nominees on September 23

Congressman Rudy Yakym (IN-02) has announced plans to host a Service Academy Night on September 23, 2025. The event is aimed at individuals interested in pursuing nominations to U.S. Service Academies. It will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. EST at Penn High School, located at 56100 Bittersweet Road in Mishawaka.

During the event, attendees can learn about the U.S. Service Academies, discuss the application process, and meet representatives from each academy. Those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP by contacting Griffin Nate at griffin.nate@mail.house.gov.

Rudy Yakym has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in Congress since 2022 (https://yakym.house.gov/about). He was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger. Yakym earned both an associate and bachelor’s degree from Indiana University South Bend, graduating in 2009 and again in 2011.

“At Service Academy Night, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the U.S. Service Academies, discuss the application process, and meet representatives from each Academy,” according to information provided by Congressman Yakym’s office.
