North Liberty Branch Library recently issued the following announcement.

Dr. Seuss's famous characters come to life as Art 4 brings the hit musical extravaganza "Seussical the Musical" to the Leighton Auditorium Feb 25 - March 13.
Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged but emerge triumphant. Seussical is fun for the whole family!
Masks are required for all indoor programs. Art 4 also requires all audience members to provide a valid photo ID and proof of full COVID-19 vaccination. Children ages 5 to 11 are required to show proof of vaccination with a parent or chaperone in lieu of photo identification, and children under 5 are exempt.

*Vaccination (5 years and up) and masks (2 years and up) are required. Doors for the show open at 1:30 p.m.
