City of South Bend recently issued the following announcement.
DUBAIL AVENUE TO CLOSE MARCH 22 FOR IMPROVEMENTS
Starting Tuesday, March 22, Dubail Avenue from High to Miami streets will close to install underground infrastructure and reconstruct curbs and sidewalks for the Dubail Avenue Streetscape Improvement Project. Detour routes for the Dubail Avenue closure will be High and Miami streets via Indiana Avenue or Dayton Street. The street is expected to reopen end of day Monday, April 4, weather permitting.
As part of the project, streetscape improvements are being made to a 10-block section of Dubail Avenue between Michigan and Miami streets. Work includes pedestrian bumpouts and new pavement at each intersection, new curbs, sidewalks, alley and driveway approaches. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of May, weather permitting.
