City of Mishawaka recently issued the following announcement.
Mishawaka Organic Resource Center Opening April 16th
The Mishawaka Organic Resource and Household Hazardous Waste Center, located at 1105 E. Fifth St in Mishawaka will open for the season on Saturday, April 16, 2022. The hours for this site will be Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30am to 3:15pm.
The Mishawaka location will accept electronics and hazardous materials, paints, etc. from all residents of St. Joseph County. This center also accepts brush and organic materials, but you must live in the corporate city limits of Mishawaka for these to be accepted. If you have questions about the Mishawaka location, please feel free to contact the Mishawaka Central Services Division at (574) 258-1660.
The St. Joseph County Household Hazardous Waste Center, located at 828 Kerr St South Bend, IN. remains open year-round; their hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm and Saturdays 8:30am-noon. Please contact (574) 235-9971 with any questions. Note that the South Bend location does not accept organic materials.
