Open House - New City Hall / Municipal Building
The public is invited to an Open House of Mishawaka's new City Hall / Municipal Building
When: Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Where: Mishawaka City Hall, 100 Lincolnway West
After a major renovation, the former Liberty Mutual Insurance building; has become the new home to Mishawaka’s City Hall, Mishawaka Police Department, and Mishawaka Utilities Business Office. The move is taking Mishawaka's central hub for local government from east of downtown to smack in the middle of downtown.
This has put many of our services into one building, centrally located, which makes it more convenient for our citizens to access our services, and it's also an opportunity for us to most effectively offer our City services.
The Police Station provides us major new capabilities such as a crime lab, new evidence processing standards and a command center full of technology where we can run a scene or natural disaster event from a secure location with redundant power feed. The building was designed to be forward looking and able to meet the department’s expanding needs for decades to come.
