Saints Dominate at Home
The Holy Cross women's basketball team had a non-conference matchup this evening, when they played host to St. Mary's. The Saints offense was clicking in today's game, scoring early and often. The Saints shot well in the first quarter, shooting 55% from the field and scoring 27 points in the quarter. The Saints would lead 27-14 going into the second quarter. Despite not hitting a three in the second quarter, the Saints were still able to control the game and keep the lead. The Saints would lead 45-31. Coming out of the half, the Saints had their highest scoring quarter of the game outscoring St. Mary's 37-14. The Saints would lead 82-45 at the end of the third quarter. Heading into the fourth quarter, the Saints had their most efficient quarter of the game, shooting 69% from the field and 80% from three-point range. The Saints were led in scoring by Grace Adams, with 24 points, and Jordyn Smith, with 23 points. The Saints would go on to win 106-57. With the win, Holy Cross improves to 6-6 overall, while St. Mary's drops to 4-5.
