Congressman Rudy Yakym, representing Indiana's 2nd District since 2022, recently shared his thoughts on various topics through a series of tweets. Born in 1984 and residing in Granger, Yakym has been an active voice in Congress since his election. He holds degrees from Indiana University South Bend.

On December 5, 2024, Congressman Yakym addressed the issue of national debt, stating: "With $35 trillion in debt, business as usual and the same Swamp spending won’t cut it. We literally can’t afford not to change course." He expressed appreciation for insights from Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy regarding efforts to eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government.

Two days later, on December 7, 2024, he commemorated the anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a tweet: "Today marks 83 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor and the 'day which will live in infamy.'" He honored the memory of those who lost their lives during this significant event in American history.

Later that day, Yakym tweeted about international leadership: "Strong American leadership is back on the world stage ", suggesting a resurgence of U.S. influence globally.
