On January 31, 2025, Congressman Yakym extended his congratulations to Doug Burgum on his confirmation as Secretary of the Interior. He expressed confidence in Burgum's capabilities by stating "Congratulations to @DougBurgum on his confirmation as Secretary of the Interior. He will do an excellent job managing our country’s natural resources!"
On February 1, 2025, Yakym thanked former President Donald Trump for his leadership and emphasized America's stance against ISIS. In a tweet, he remarked "Thank you @realDonaldTrump for your leadership and reminding the world that America is not to be messed with. We will eradicate ISIS once again!"
Two days later, on February 3, 2025, Congressman Yakym congratulated Chris Wright on his confirmation as Secretary. He highlighted collaboration with the President in revitalizing American energy by tweeting "Congratulations to Secretary Chris Wright on his confirmation! Working with @POTUS, we will unleash American energy once again!"
