Rudy Yakym, a Congressman representing Indiana's 2nd District since 2022, expressed his views on several topics through a series of tweets. Yakym, who resides in Granger and is an alumnus of Indiana University South Bend, shared his thoughts on National Girls & Women in Sports Day and the recent confirmation of Scott Turner as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

On February 5, 2025, Yakym highlighted National Girls & Women in Sports Day by stating his commitment to ensuring that "biological women are given the chance to compete in sports against biological women - not men." "Today is National Girls & Women in Sports Day. I will always fight to ensure that biological women are given the chance to compete in sports against biological women - not men."

Later that day, he congratulated Scott Turner on his confirmation as Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. Yakym expressed confidence in Turner's ability to lead effectively and support vulnerable communities. "Congratulations to Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Scott Turner on his confirmation! I am confident that he will run an efficient operation that will help our most vulnerable."

In another tweet on the same day, Yakym supported a statement attributed to the President regarding women's sports: "'From now on, women's sports will only be for women.' - @POTUS It is so refreshing to have a President that enforces basic facts again."
