On March 12, 2025, Congressman Yakym addressed the issue of pandemic unemployment fraud via Twitter. He stated that "Pandemic unemployment fraud cost taxpayers $135B. Yesterday, we passed the Pandemic Unemployment Fraud Enforcement Act to: Extend the statute of limitations to prosecute all fraudsters Eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse Recover stolen taxpayer dollars."
The following day, March 13, 2025, he reiterated his commitment to this cause with a brief tweet stating "We're committed to getting this done."
Later that same day, Yakym criticized regulations from the Biden administration for their impact on energy costs and independence. He expressed gratitude towards another individual for efforts to mitigate these issues by tweeting "Biden-era regulations have increased costs and weakened America’s energy independence for too long. Thank you, @epaleezeldin, for working to lower costs, strengthen our manufacturing industries, and restore American energy dominance!"
