Congressman Rudy Yakym and Congresswoman Hillary Scholten have introduced a bipartisan resolution to designate June 23-27 as "National Boys & Girls Club Week." This initiative aims to honor the contributions of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Rep. Yakym expressed his support, stating, “The Boys & Girls Clubs of America are a beacon of hope, opportunity, and mentorship for communities across Indiana and our nation.” He emphasized his past involvement with the organization and the impact it has on young leaders. Rep. Scholten also shared her enthusiasm for the resolution, noting that these clubs provide essential safe spaces for youth development.

Jim Clark, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, highlighted the significance of National Boys & Girls Club Week since its inception in 1941. He praised Representatives Yakym and Scholten for their support, emphasizing that club members tend to excel academically and professionally.
