Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana's 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently posted a series of statements on his official social media account addressing constituent services, unemployment benefits policy, and antisemitism.

On July 24, 2025, Yakym informed constituents about his team's availability in several Indiana towns. He wrote: "My team is available in Wabash, Bunker Hill, and Galveston today."

Later that day, he commented on state-level unemployment benefit policies and the introduction of federal legislation. On July 24, 2025, he stated: "While far-left states like Oregon and Washington are busy handing out unemployment checks like participation trophies, the SHIELD Act puts an end to that nonsense. It ensures unemployment benefits go to those truly without work. Read more https://t.co/m9ClOqPMj5"

The following day, Yakym addressed rising antisemitism in the United States and highlighted his legislative response. On July 25, 2025, he wrote: "Antisemitism is surging across our country. That’s why I led a bipartisan resolution to condemn the phrase 'Globalize the Intifada.' We must keep exposing and confronting hate like this because it has no place in America."

Yakym was born in 1984 and currently resides in Granger at age 39. He graduated from Indiana University South Bend with associate's and bachelor's degrees earned in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
