Yakym is known for his focus on economic development within Indiana’s 2nd District—a region recognized as a hub for RV manufacturing. He was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. Before entering Congress, Yakym earned both an associate's degree (2009) and a bachelor's degree (2011) from Indiana University South Bend.
