Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared updates on legislative developments and local engagements through a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 5, 2025, Yakym highlighted provisions for recreational vehicles in recent legislation, stating, "We’re celebrating the RV provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill, including the Travel Trailer and Camper Tax Parity provision, with a stop at Camping World. Great to join @marcuslemonis in Indiana’s Second District- the RV Manufacturing Capital of the World!"

The following day, August 6, he commented on proposed changes affecting drone regulation: "America should lead in aviation safety and innovation. This proposed rule will be a game changer for drones, innovators, manufacturers, and consumers. Thank you @SecDuffy for your leadership on this issue!"

Yakym is known for his focus on economic development within Indiana’s 2nd District—a region recognized as a hub for RV manufacturing. He was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. Before entering Congress, Yakym earned both an associate's degree (2009) and a bachelor's degree (2011) from Indiana University South Bend.
