Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, shared updates on community initiatives and commemorative events through a series of posts on his social media account.

On August 6, 2025, Yakym highlighted the role of federal tax credits in local housing development: "I visited Dogwood Estates in Walkerton this evening and was able to see an incredible development made possible by the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC). Thousands of Americans will be able to attain affordable quality housing as a result of the enhancements of LIHTC in the".

The following morning, August 7, Yakym addressed economic policy and engagement with local business leaders: "From farms to factories to main street, everyone will benefit from the One Big Beautiful Bill! Looking forward to a productive discussion with the Cass County business leaders this morning."

Later that day, Yakym recognized Purple Heart Day and paid tribute to military service members: "On Purple Heart Day, we honor the heroes who were wounded or gave their lives in defense of our nation. Their sacrifice is the price of our freedom and we must never forget what they gave for America."

Born in 1984 and currently residing in Granger, Yakym holds both associate’s and bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University South Bend. His background includes ongoing involvement with constituents across various sectors within Indiana’s 2nd District.
