Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana's 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, shared updates on his ongoing "One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour" through a series of social media posts on August 12, 2025.

In a post from that day, Yakym announced the continuation of his tour with Mayor Trent O’Dell in Rochester: "I am kicking off week two of the One Big Beautiful Hoosier Tour with Mayor Trent O’Dell in Rochester chatting about the OBBB! Did you know the One Big Beautiful Bill cuts taxes for Americans earning under $50,000 by 14.9%? That means the people of Indiana’s Second District can" (August 12, 2025).

Later that day, he highlighted a visit to a local manufacturing business: "I was excited to visit Machined Castings Specialties in Rochester where I filled in their team on all the great policy we have cooked up in the One Big Beautiful Bill!" (August 12, 2025).

Yakym also addressed Indiana’s significant role in orthopedic manufacturing and spoke about tax incentives aimed at supporting medical technology companies: "Indiana’s Second District is the Orthopedic Manufacturing Capital of the World. I’m down in Warsaw at Zimmer Biomet having conversations with industry leaders about how the Research & Development tax credit enhancements will help orthopedic and medical technology companies thrive" (August 12, 2025).

The congressman, born in 1984 and currently residing in Granger, holds both an associate's and bachelor's degree from Indiana University South Bend. He has emphasized support for tax cuts for lower-income Americans and policies benefiting key industries within his district.
