Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana's 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently shared updates on his activities and legislative priorities through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) dated August 13, 2025.

In his first post of the day, Yakym highlighted his engagement with local agricultural stakeholders: "Always a pleasure to spend time with @INFarmBureau members and have an open dialogueabout how I can advocate for them in D.C. Thanks to Lichtenbarger farms for hosting us this morning!" (August 13, 2025).

Later that afternoon, he addressed tax policy affecting service industry workers: "No Tax on Tips means more money in our restaurant employee’s pockets!" (August 13, 2025).

In his third post of the day, Yakym visited an early childhood education center and referenced pro-family legislation: "Great to visit Growing Kids Learning Center and see my friends Mike and Beth Garatoni! Did you know the OBBB expands the child and dependent care tax credit, providing an incentive to employers to offer child care to employees? This is what pro-family legislation looks like!" (August 13, 2025).

Yakym was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. He holds associate’s and bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University South Bend, earned in 2009 and 2011 respectively. His recent social media activity underscores ongoing outreach efforts within his district as well as support for policies related to agriculture, taxation on tips for service workers, and family-focused tax credits.
