Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, highlighted recent legislative and economic developments affecting his constituency in a series of posts on August 19, 2025.

In one post, Yakym celebrated the passage of new legislation: "Indiana’s Second District is on the move and the One Big Beautiful Bill just put us on the fast track for more record-breaking jobs and investment!" (August 19, 2025).

Addressing local employment, Yakym wrote about a manufacturing company in Logansport: "Don’t be fooled by the name, Small Parts, Inc. in Logansport provides over 200 jobs in Cass County. Did you know that Hoosiers would have received the largest tax increase in history if the One Big Beautiful Bill was not passed? By passing this bill, we delivered the largest tax" (August 19, 2025).

He also discussed advancements in research and development within his district: "Companies like Spectron RX are leading the way in ground-breaking and lifesaving initiatives. I’m proud to have supported the expansion of Research and Development tax incentives so that companies like this can continue their vital work." (August 19, 2025).

Yakym is currently a resident of Granger and was born in 1984. He graduated from Indiana University South Bend with associate and bachelor’s degrees earned between 2009 and 2011.
