Congressman Rudy Yakym, who represents Indiana’s 2nd District in the U.S. Congress, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative achievements and local businesses in his district.

On August 20, 2025, Yakym praised recent congressional action on tax policy, stating, "Americans dodged a big tax hike when Congress passed the 'big, beautiful bill,' making permanent the tax cuts of President Trump's first term — and adding on a bunch more."

The following day, on August 21, 2025, Yakym referenced a visit to a long-standing business in his district: "Fratco is a family-owned company that has been creating efficient and time-tested draining solutions since 1923. I was delighted to fill their team in on how we’re draining spending at a record pace in Washington DC!"

Later that same day, he mentioned another local institution and discussed estate tax legislation: "It’s almost that time again! Hensler’s Nursery in Hamlet has been bringing joy to families in Indiana’s Second District for generations. The expanded estate tax exemption in the One Big Beautiful Bill helps make sure the Hensler family can continue to bring the Christmas spirit"

Yakym has served as the representative for Indiana's 2nd District since 2022. Born in 1984 and currently residing in Granger, he holds associate and bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University South Bend.
