Congressman Rudy Yakym, who represents Indiana's 2nd District in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets between October 16 and October 19, 2025, addressing both political issues and local sports.
On October 16, Yakym commented on ongoing legislative disputes regarding government funding. He wrote: "Shameful. Democrats should stop their political games and vote to open the government."
In subsequent posts, Yakym shifted focus to college football. On October 18, he tweeted: "Gameday! Go Irish" The following day, he added: "#GOIRISH"
Yakym has served as the representative for Indiana’s 2nd District since 2022. He was born in 1984 and resides in Granger. In addition to his congressional service, Yakym holds associate and bachelor’s degrees from Indiana University South Bend.
