Congressman Rudy Yakym, who has represented Indiana's 2nd District in the U.S. Congress since 2022, recently addressed constituents and national issues through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 16, 2025, Yakym invited residents to meet with his staff during upcoming outreach events: "My office is here to serve you! Please join us for mobile office hours tomorrow in Medaryville and Hamlet."

The following day, Yakym commented on the phrase "Globalize the Intifada," describing it as a call for violence. He stated: "The term 'Globalize the Intifada' is not open to interpretation, it's a call for violence against the Jewish and Israeli people. That's why @RepJoshG and I introduced a bipartisan resolution to unequivocally condemn it. Hate speech of any kind has no place in America." On July 17, he also expressed appreciation for an opportunity to discuss this legislative effort: "Thanks for having me on to talk about this common sense resolution"

Yakym's public statements come amid ongoing debates about hate speech and antisemitism in the United States. His collaboration with Representative Josh Gottheimer reflects bipartisan efforts in Congress to address language perceived as inciting violence.

Born in 1984 and currently residing in Granger, Yakym graduated from Indiana University South Bend with associate and bachelor’s degrees earned in 2009 and 2011 respectively.
